Waukon will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Crestwood at 7:30 PM. Waukon have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Waukon had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Waukon weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 20-24 to Decorah-North Winneshiek last Friday.
Meanwhile, Crestwood took care of business in their home opener. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Charles City 7-6.
Crestwood's win lifted them to 1-0 while Waukon's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Crestwood can add another positive mark to their record or if Waukon can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Crestwood's step.
