Softball Recap: Dacula Has No Trouble Against Ridgeland

Dacula came out on top against Ridgeland on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Falcons put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

Paisley Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Tatiana Loera was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Lianna Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Dacula always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dacula's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-7. As for Ridgeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Dacula will face off against Lassiter at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ridgeland, they will challenge Coahulla Creek at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
