Last Friday, Culpeper County earned a 40-30 win over Caroline. The win made it back-to-back wins for Culpeper County.
Culpeper County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was amyah robinson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which robinson has scored at least a third of Culpeper County's points. Alivia Edwards was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, King George unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 64-41 defeat at the hands of Chancellor. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat King George has suffered yet this season.
The win got Culpeper County back to even at 6-6. As for King George, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Culpeper County strolled past King George in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 47-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Culpeper County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
