Clarksdale dropped down to 6-4 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Senatobia Warriors, falling 19-5. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 23-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Clarksdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was E Cook, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Cook is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another was E Ingram, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
As for Senatobia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games.
On Senatobia's side, Anna Hollis Faulkner made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Faulkner was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Senatobia let Bailey Thomas and Maci Claire Moore run wild. Thomas got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Moore went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadeah Newson, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Coming up, Clarksdale will head out on the road to take on Winona at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Senatobia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosa Fort at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
