The Capac Chiefs will venture away from home to square off against the Clawson Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Capac got the win against Memphis by a conclusive 11-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.
B Tesnow was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Capac let A Demery and A Howard run wild. Demery went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Howard went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Howard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was J Owens, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Capac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 8.8.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clawson). They blew past Hazel Park 18-3 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.
Max Dunlap was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Nate Shepherd was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Capac's record now sits at 10-4. As for Clawson, their record is now 11-6.
Capac couldn't quite get it done against Clawson in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 10-6. Can the Chiefs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
