Ana Glemser spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Plymouth Whitemarsh came tearing into last Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Falcons.
Anna Powel was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jenna Yablon also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Plymouth Whitemarsh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Plymouth Whitemarsh pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Central Bucks West, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central Bucks West hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Plymouth Whitemarsh struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central Bucks West came out on top in a nail-biter against Plymouth Whitemarsh in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Bucks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonials turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
