Villa Joseph Marie had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 7-9 to make it four. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs. The Jems haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Faith Fox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Delaney Radtke was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Lindsay Rooney was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
