Model Secondary School for the Deaf hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Johan Hewapathirana that streak is no more. The Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles took down Washington Waldorf 57-40 on Thursday thanks in part to Hewapathirana, who posted 33 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Washington Waldorf, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Model Secondary School for the Deaf will venture away from home to face off against Berman Hebrew Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
