While Eureka's victory against Wells wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vandals narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Leopards 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vandals have posted since October 4, 2024.

Eureka wouldn't go down easily and took Wells into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 15-11.

Eureka has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Wells, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Eureka will square off against rival Owyhee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wells is set to take on their familiar foe Lund at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
