It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Choctaw Central Warriors had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Indians a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Choctaw Central, who have now won ten games by five goals or more so far this season.
They hit Itawamba Agricultural with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
KAILYNN PERRY (2),
Yazzlyn Alex (2),
RAIYLEIGH PERRY, and
LACY ALEX.
The win was the fourth in a row for Choctaw Central, bringing their record for this year to 13-2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those four matches. As for Itawamba Agricultural, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
Choctaw Central didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win vs. Northeast Lauderdale on the 10th. Itawamba Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
