Plainfield South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Destynia Mcgruder, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Mcgruder's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlynn Foster, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Joliet Central ended up a good deal behind Romeoville on Thursday and lost 56-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Joliet Central in their matchups with Romeoville: they've now lost five in a row.
Plainfield South pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Joliet Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
