Milford is 2-8 against Taunton since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Milford Scarlet Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Taunton Tigers at 6:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Sunday, Milford came up short against Archbishop Williams and fell 77-67.
Despite the loss, Milford had strong showings from Andrew Rivera, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds, and CJ Farrell, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luca Testa, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Taunton's good fortune finally ran out last Monday. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin. Taunton has not had much luck with Franklin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Taunton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
Milford was able to grind out a solid win over Taunton in their previous meeting back in January, winning 81-73. Will Milford repeat their success, or does Taunton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
