The Eduprize Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by BASIS - Scottsdale at home to the tune of 65-23. Fans of Eduprize have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
BASIS - Scottsdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tomas Oparowski, who scored eight points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oparowski has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Tropper, who scored nine points.
Even though they lost, BASIS - Scottsdale were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Eduprize's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eduprize won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Heritage Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Eduprize is ranked 30th). BASIS - Scottsdale will be home for the holidays to greet Heritage Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
