The Solorio Sun Warriors's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Harlan 33-17. The victory was just what Solorio needed coming off of a 38-17 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Solorio to victory, but perhaps none more so than Melanie Macedo, who scored 12 points. Fatima Luna was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Solorio's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Harlan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solorio will take on Bowen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bowen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Harlan, they will be playing at home against ACERO Garcia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
