The biggest upset of the week belonged to San Mateo, who defeated 718th ranked Half Moon Bay, 23-22. Finau Hafoka ran for 170 yards in the win.
Burlingame's Avery Gindraux rumbled for the longest rushing play in Peninsula - Ocean this season in his game against Aragon last week. Gindraux scampered for 81 yards on the play and finished with 90 on the day as his team defeated the Dons.
Hafoka was a passing and rushing force as the Bearcats topped the Cougars. Hafoka's key target this week was Cristian Zarco, who caught 7 passes for 83 yards.
Hafoka was the best running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 170 yards as San Mateo beat Half Moon Bay. Watson Filikitonga also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.
Woodside's Robert Wang and Josh Holman led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Wang has thrown for 1,036 yards this season, while Holman has 27 catches for 508 yards. Line Latu from Jeff Scheller's team leads the league in rushing with 547 yards.
A big matchup in Peninsula - Ocean this week will be when Aragon takes on the Wildcats. At the moment, Steve Sell's team is in second, while Woodside is in fourth.
Josh Bowie's team scaled the state rankings by moving to 610 from 658 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of besting Capuchino 58-24.
