Bayside came out on top against Princess Anne  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Marlins blew past the Cavaliers 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Marlins, who have now won seven matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.

Melton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Melton  went 3-for-4 with two  triples, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Allen  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  Allen a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Madison Matthews, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Caidyn Doss, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double.
