The Council Grove Braves lost against the Sacred Heart Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Council Grove took a hard 65-48 fall against Sacred Heart. Council Grove has struggled against Sacred Heart recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Council Grove lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kolby Rose. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kyzer Spittles, who scored 11 points.
Council Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sacred Heart, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Council Grove will head out on the road to face off against Central Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Council Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beloit at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart is on a 11-game streak of home wins, Beloit a nine-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
