Cupertino hit MacDonald with a seven-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Condor came up short against the Pioneers, falling 14-4. The Condor's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

MacDonald saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ileyah Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another was Kyra Reid, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cupertino, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
