The Bryan Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 78-36 victory over Buena Vista on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Bryan has managed all season.
Leading Bryan to victory were A'mare Bynum and Amir Martin. Bynum scored 20 points, while Martin scored 17 points along with five steals. The matchup was Bynum's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Brandon Jarmon was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Buena Vista lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ater Lual, who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lual has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Smith, who scored three points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bryan and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Buena Vista, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Bryan will be playing in front of their home fans against Gretna East at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buena Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against Elkhorn South on Thursday. Hopefully Elkhorn South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
