Long won the last time they faced Houston Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Long Rebels' way against the Houston Academy Raiders as the Long Rebels made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Rebels have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Long and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Houston Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long will take on Luverne at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Houston Academy, they will face off against Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
