The Lyman Hall Trojans were the 43-38 winner over the Guilford Grizzlies when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Lyman Hall was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 36-35 to Guilford. Lyman Hall just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Keira Reynolds was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with four steals for Guilford. Reynolds is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Alexa Kukta was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Lyman Hall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Guilford, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman Hall will face off against Lauralton Hall at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lauralton Hall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. As for Guilford, they will head out on the road to take on Law at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Law is ranked 116th, while Guilford is ranked 111th).
