Aptos (Calif.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 34-19 victory over
Aragon (San Mateo, Calif.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Michael Chavez in the first quarter, the Mariners led 21-0 at the half.
Aptos expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. The Mariners scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Owen Staveland.
The loss comes after Aragon defeated Hillsdale 43-41 last week. The loss snapped Aragon's two-game winning streak.
