On Thursday, St. Mary was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial. St. Mary's has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, St. Mary's saw an underclassman step up: Kadence Paukan scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Peterson, who scored 11 points.
St. Mary's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
