The South Davidson Wildcats will challenge the North Stokes Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Davidson is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
South Davidson is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing South Stokes: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Sauras out of the water with a 34-6 final score. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.
South Davidson relied on the efforts of Myles Scercy, who rushed for 107 yards and one TD, and Gage Underwood, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Underwood also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

South Davidson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Underwood, Scercy, Duke Howell, and Jacob Hill picked up one apiece. Hill has been hot, having posted at least one interception the last five times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-6, which was the final score in North Stokes' tilt against Bishop McGuinness last Friday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Villains recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
North Stokes' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for South Davidson, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
South Davidson and North Stokes were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but South Davidson suffered an agonizing 7-6 loss. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
