The Albert Gallatin Colonials will head out on the road to face off against the Connellsville Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Connellsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Albert Gallatin, who comes in off a win.
Even though Brentwood scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Albert Gallatin still came out on top. Albert Gallatin strolled past Brentwood with points to spare, taking the game 74-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Albert Gallatin.
Albert Gallatin can attribute much of their success to Mykel Belt, who scored 16 points along with nine assists and four steals, and Blake White, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Belt posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Evan Strimel, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Connellsville, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-39 walloping at the hands of Laurel Highlands on Tuesday. Connellsville has not had much luck with Laurel Highlands recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Albert Gallatin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Connellsville, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Albert Gallatin strolled past Connellsville when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 64-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Albert Gallatin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
