Savoy is 8-2 against Fannindel since November of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Savoy Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Fannindel Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Savoy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Savoy ended up a good deal behind Forestburg and lost 56-40.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Fannindel, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a serious blow against Miller Grove on Friday, falling 70-6. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fannindel has scored all season.
Savoy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Fannindel, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Savoy against Fannindel when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 44-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Savoy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
