Thorndale gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Thrall Tigers 31-3. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-0.
Thorndale got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Cloud out in front who picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 99 receiving yards gave Cloud a new career-high. Cole Harkins handled things on the ground, rushing for 113 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thorndale is headed away from home for the first time to take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thrall, they will challenge Rosebud-Lott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
