For the first time this season, Thrall will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Little River Academy Bumblebees at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Thrall has six straight wins, Little River Academy has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Thrall lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Florence, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Buffaloes a 12-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Dickens was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Reese Madsen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Selena Quintanilla, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Thrall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .600 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Little River Academy suffered their closest defeat since February 19th on Saturday. They fell just short of Fredericksburg by a score of 6-4.
Thrall's record now sits at 10-7. As for Little River Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Thrall beat Little River Academy 4-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bumblebees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
