It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jupiter had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wellington Wolverines  a   2-0 shutout. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Jupiter.
 Not much got past  Sasha Seidel, who gave up just  three  hits to keep Wellington off the board. Seidel has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Sam Basen was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On Wellington's side,  Victoria Payne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 Even though they lost, Wellington  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 11  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jupiter only tossed five.
 Jupiter's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Wellington, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-4.
 Jupiter will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Centennial at 7:00  p.m. Centennial will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something Jupiter surely won't give up without a fight. Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
