5A Inland Empire recap Sept. 26, 2012
Lake City was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 5A Inland Empire. The Timberwolves beat Post Falls 45-24 earlier in the week.
Lewiston had been ranked 24th, but fell to 26 following the defeat.
Coeur d'Alene's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gunnar Amos has thrown for 1286 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Addison Johnson has 27 catches for 490 yards. Marques Mort leads the league in rushing with 156 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bengals take on Lake City. Lewiston has allowed 48 points this season, while Van Troxel's team has given up 100.
