On Tuesday, Pace made easy work of Mercedes and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
One reason for the win was Pace's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.
Pace relied on the efforts of Andrea Salgado, who had 14 digs and two assists, and Melody Valerio, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Valerio has posted since back in August.
They weren't the only good servers: Pace was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.
