If the Rio Vista Rams were riding high off their 63-42 takedown of the Delhi Hawks on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rio Vista took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bret Harte on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Rio Vista had strong showings from Ashlynd Rhett, who scored 12 points along with five blocks and four steals, and Matt Bodle, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bodle scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Perkins, who scored six points.
Rio Vista now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Bret Harte, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Vista will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Argonaut at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Argonaut focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. Bret Harte and Mariposa County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
