The Citronelle Wildcats lost against the Jackson Aggies back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Citronelle was beaten by Jackson 77-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Citronelle has scored all season.
It was another big night for Micah Caster, who scored 28 points along with three steals for Jackson. The contest was Caster's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Duckworth, who scored 13 points.
Citronelle's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Citronelle will head out on the road to face off against LeFlore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LeFlore is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Jackson, they will be playing at home against Fruitdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fruitdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Jackson is ranked 159th).
