Eagle Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the American History Bald Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Eagle Academy's 16-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Cedar Grove 54-27 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eagle Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, American History's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 59-46 to Glen Ridge.
Despite the defeat, American History had strong showings from Ihjamir Williams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and seven blocks, and Ahmad Davis, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Whitney, who scored eight points.
Eagle Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for American History, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-5.
Eagle Academy was able to grind out a solid win over American History when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 49-42. Will Eagle Academy repeat their success, or does American History have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
