Oaks Christian has gone a perfect 10-0 against Calabasas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oaks Christian has eight straight victories, Calabasas has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Oaks Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over Agoura on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

In other batting news, Oaks Christian let Gianna Garcia and Giabella Otani run wild. Garcia got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Otani went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Otani has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrianna Kelley, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Oaks Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Calabasas fell victim to Newbury Park and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Panthers.
Oaks Christian's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Calabasas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
Calabasas' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oaks Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Calabasas, though, as they've been averaging 10.9 hits. Given Oaks Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Coyotes will need to find a way to close that gap.
