The Box Elder Bees posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over Roy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Box Elder was led to victory by Elijah Kersey and Max Isaacson. Kersey scored 24 points along with three steals, while Isaacson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. Isaacson's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Carter Buchanon was another key contributor, scoring four points.
The victory was the third in a row for Box Elder, bringing their record for this year to 7-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Roy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Box Elder will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bountiful focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Friday. As for Roy, they will head out on the road to take on Viewmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Viewmont will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
