The Newsome Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Robinson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newsome's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Robinson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Newsome was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against East Bay on Monday. The Wolves never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Haleigh Galvan, who gave up just four hits to keep East Bay off the board. Galvan has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Arriana N Williams and Sarai Nicholas did most of the damage at the plate: Williams got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Nicholas went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Nicholas has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayler Grande, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Newsome always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Bay only posted an OBP of .259.
Meanwhile, Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Sumner, falling 16-4.
Robinson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella 'Bella' Villanti, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Newsome, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
Everything went Newsome's way against Robinson when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Newsome made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
