The Greenwood Rangers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Seminole Indians at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Greenwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Andrews, taking the game 56-43.
Greenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Pierce, who scored 19 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Pierce has scored at least a third of Greenwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Presley, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Seminole entered their tilt with Fort Stockton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Seminole's way against Fort Stockton on Friday as Seminole made off with a 64-39 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Seminole has posted against Fort Stockton since February 18, 2020.
Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Seminole, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
Greenwood barely slipped by Seminole in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 44-43. Will Greenwood repeat their success, or does Seminole have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
