Kentlake is 1-6 against Beamer since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kentlake Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Beamer Titans at 7:00 p.m. Kentlake is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Kentlake suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Auburn 109-32. While losing is never fun, Kentlake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Auburn is ranked third).
Meanwhile, even though Kent-Meridian scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, Beamer still came out on top. Beamer took their matchup against Kent-Meridian 70-60. The victory was just what Beamer needed coming off of a 81-59 defeat in their prior matchup.
Beamer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmed Ismail, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ismail has scored all season. Will Tellis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Kentlake dropped their record down to 0-16 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Beamer, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Kentlake took a serious blow against Beamer in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 76-47. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kentlake was down 47-22.
