The Chapin Huskies will venture away from home to square off against the Hanks Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Chapin sitting on five straight wins and Hanks on three.
Chapin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Jefferson 70-0 last Friday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Huskies had established a 63-point advantage.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Carlos Garcia and Daveon Singleton. Garcia gained 241 total yards and four touchdowns while Singleton rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Singleton is becoming a predictor of Chapin's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Joshua Martel was another key player, rushing for 62 yards and one score on only six carries.
Chapin didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Jefferson to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. The team can thank Caiden Fielder for the heroic effort on defense: he. Chapin has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.
Chapin's defense didn't let Davion Arnette, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Fabian Garcia was especially locked on to Jefferson's QB and sacked him twice. Garcia is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Hanks won against Canutillo last Friday with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Knights blew past Jefferson, posting a 35-0 victory. Considering the Knights have won three games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hanks' win came from a few key players Chapin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Morales, who rushed for 42 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 227 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Morales' aerial production (151 yards to be exact) went to Zack Kania, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Hanks didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Damian Galvan and Demarco Unger. Johnny Swartz was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Chapin's record is now 6-3. As for Hanks, their record now sits at an identical 6-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Chapin has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 257.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hanks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 181.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Chapin against Hanks when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 61-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
