The Riverview Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Leechburg with a sharp 81-60 win. The win was some much needed relief for Riverview as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Leechburg still got an impressive performance from Jayden Floyd, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Scitticatt, who scored seven points.
Even though they lost, Leechburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Riverview's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Leechburg, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Riverview will take on Fort Cherry at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Fort Cherry's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. As for Leechburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Serra Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Serra Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leechburg in Pennsylvania (Serra Catholic is ranked 278th, while Leechburg is ranked 715th).
