When it comes to explaining why Green City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Asher Buggs-Tipton. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Buggs-Tipton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Tipton, who scored eight points.
The win got Platte Valley co-op [South Nodaway/Jefferson] back to even at 1-1. As for Green City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
