Connecticut places 45 on 2012 NISCA All-American Swimming list

With the U.S. Olympic swimming team nearing the Olympics, the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association recently released its list of high school All-Americans.

The lists compile the top 100 performances in each event during the recently completed school year. Connecticut is 21st nationally in the number of athletes, while California came in at No. 1 with 750 honorees.

Led by Dan Klotz of Berlin and Kaylin Moss of Wilton, Connecticut had 17 boys All-Americans and 28 girls honorees, respectively.
