The Tatnall Hornets had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They blew past DuPont 55-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Tatnall, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Rahshan Lamons, who threw for 83 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Micah Stamper was another key contributor, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Tatnall's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for DuPont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tatnall will face off against St. Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (St. Elizabeth is ranked 34th, while Tatnall is ranked 16th). As for DuPont, they will head out on the road to face off against Glasgow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
