Softball Recap: Chesapeake Has No Trouble Against Southern

Chesapeake never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Southern Bulldogs 16-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Chesapeake has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Southern, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Chesapeake will face off against rival Meade at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southern is set to take on their familiar foe Glen Burnie at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
