The Benjamin Franklin Chargers will take on the Gilbert Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Gilbert Christian will be up against a hot Benjamin Franklin team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Chargers blew past Valley Christian 35-6 on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Benjamin Franklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Talan Speir, who picked up 118 receiving yards and three scores. Speir's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 118 receiving yards. Another back making a difference was Landon Stetka, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of TDs.
Benjamin Franklin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Christian Sorenson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, Gilbert Christian made easy work of ALA - Ironwood on Friday and carried off a 43-17 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Knights just coasted through the last quarter.
Benjamin Franklin better keep an eye on Caleb Ely. He was instrumental in Gilbert Christian's win, rushing for 18 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs. Camden Gorsline helped out on the ground, rushing for 93 yards.
Gilbert Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited ALA - Ironwood to a completion percentage of just 35%. The Knights weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 64.7%.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Gilbert Christian, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Pierson Scott, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Gilbert Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Benjamin Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-0.
Everything came up roses for Benjamin Franklin against Gilbert Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Knights' Sam Webb, who rushed for 113 yards and one score.
