After five games on the road, Cross is heading back home. They will take on the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Cross strolled past Hilton Head Prep with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.
Cross got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexann Maldonado out in front who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Maldonado is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Ryan Mayers was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Coastal HomeSchool earned a 33-24 victory over Varsity Opponent on Friday. The win was just what Coastal HomeSchool needed coming off of a 66-39 defeat in their prior game.
Cross has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
Everything came up roses for Cross against Coastal HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 77-20 victory. Will Cross repeat their success, or does Coastal HomeSchool have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
