Marco Island Academy has been on a difficult stretch since their win on November 11. They lost 5-1 to the Donahue Catholic Shamrocks on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 last Tuesday.

Marco Island Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Donahue Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marco Island Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southwest Florida Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Donahue Catholic will take on The Village School of Naples in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
