Burncoat has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the South Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Burncoat suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against North, falling 87-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Burncoat has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Cheyton Marshall, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jean Carlos Pimental, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-38, which was the final score in South's tilt against North last Tuesday. While losing is never fun, South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while North is ranked first).
Burncoat's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Burncoat was taken down by South 78-44 when the teams last played on January 3rd. Will Burncoat have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
