The biggest upset of the week belonged to Dickinson, who took down 640th ranked Clear Falls, 28-21.
The Gators moved up to 716 from 811 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region III District 24. Dickinson was able to make the jump by beating the Knights 28-21.
Clear Springs's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Cripps threw for 214 and one touchdown and Matt Wymyczak had 113 yards receiving. On the ground Matt Guidry chipped in 174 yards. Devin Milburn helped Clear Springs' passing attack out by catching five balls for 57 yards.
The Chargers' Cripps and Byron Jones have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cripps has thrown for 1142 yards this season, while Jones has 18 catches for 388 yards. Krysten Hammon from John Snelson's team leads the league in rushing with 788 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Brazoswood takes on Clear Springs. The Buccaneers are currently in third, while Clint Hartman's team is in second.
Clear Creek extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region III District 24 this week by beating Clear Lake, 42-5. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
